Enhancing Strategic Thinking

Currently, there appears to be a large amount of betrayal and lack of integrity in the Corporate work force. In many situations, the end seems to justify the means. In the presence of such thinking and activity, there is a tendency to create false assumptions about who we are in relation to our environment. There is a power of momentum that can take an individual from a sense of secure knowing, competence and clarity of intention to a point of being sucked into the sea of mendacity, questionable decisions or at the lease, murky thinking.

The question of trust can become quite real. Whenever trust is an Issue, our intuitive antennae are alerted. In the presence of a Performance Set-point, other compelling beliefs come into play and Auto-Reactions are triggered that might otherwise be less active. Confusion about our own personal desires and performance activities may arise. Emotion rather than data may begin to guide decisions. Expectations can become our motivation. Strategic thinking can be affected if not thwarted altogether.

Lucid thinking is expedient to strategic thinking When a person's Cellular Response System is triggered to provide Auto-Reactions, there is absence of lucid thinking. That individual will make decisions that are going to harm their progress At best, they will lack creativity and broad definition in their thinking.

The same momentum one rides toward a Performance Plateau, decreased ingenuity or selfsabotaging behavior can be momentum that takes them to peak performance. Like any situation, our beliefs determine our reactions or responses. It IS Our choice to continue with the same limiting Performance Set-point or to create a new one via reprogramming. It is the choice of each individual to determine whether they will buy Into existing role models or whether to establish a belief system which sustains strategic, individualistic thinking,

It is impossible, however, to seize the moment of excitement, curiosity or creativity in the presence of Auto-Reactions. When we are automatically reactive, there is no space for responding. Edith Anne (Lilly Tomlin) reacted. Bat-man and Spider Woman respond. Edith Anne believed "they" where out to get her. Bat-man and Spider Women are driven by the belief that good much overcome evil regardless of the action needed.

Each of us has the power to identify and change those beliefs which drive us into unwanted or negative behaviors-, those which keep up from Our desired or peak performance. Actress Ruth Gordon once said, "Never, never, never, under any circumstances ... face facts," She meant that our environment is absolutely not the defining aspect of who we are or what we can accomplish.

Strategic thinking can be enhanced beyond your wildest imagination. Peak performance can go further than your utmost fantasy. But You are in charge of altering your Performance Set-point in order to permit this to happen.
